A series of portraits representing the journey of grieving the loss of our father.
Since the passing of my father on the 22nd February 2014, silence and darkness consumed the process of grieving. Taking on this project of self-exploration has been incredibly difficult but has also allowed me to resolve some unspoken thoughts and questions. Making use of the camera as a tool to express these hidden emotions allowed me create a space where we all really spoke about what we felt, how we feel, and understand where each of us are with coping with the loss of our father.
Personally, these photographs mark a turning point in my journey as a photographer and most of all in life, the camera has given me the opportunity to take a step forward which I never thought was possible.
